By the end of this unit, students should be able to explain how artifacts and other archaeological findings provide evidence of the nature and movement of prehistoric groups of people. We discuss scientists like archeologists, anthropologists, and geologists. Students should be able to explain the difference between an artifact and a fossil and how scientists use the clues to learn about how the earliest humans lived.
